Members' Driver and Training Services

The UKIFDA Training Academy brings together all the accredited training, compliance support and professional development resources available to members.

As an approved training centre and member of the National Logistics Training Consortium, we provide our members with high‑quality courses that help raise operational standards, support regulatory compliance and strengthen skills across the liquid fuel distribution sector.

Members can access two dedicated services. One provides specialist driver training delivered both in person and online, and the other offers a wide range of online professional development courses suitable for employees across all roles.

Driver Training

The UKIFDA Driver Training Academy provides specialist training designed exclusively for fuel delivery drivers:

  • ADR training and ADR refresher courses
  • Driver CPC training, including modules that also satisfy PDP annual refresher requirements
  • Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) training, including practical assessments

The UKIFDA Training Academy simplifies compliance by integrating key annual requirements. For example, an ADR refresher course will include hours toward CPC requirements. Additionally, CPC courses can combine to cover the PDP classroom for the year, saving members both time and money.

UKIFDA also offers:

  • Depot management training

  • Depot security reviews

  • Depot audits

  • Training in the security of dangerous goods (OFQUAL qualified trainer)

  • DGSA services

  • Training in cybersecurity

  • Project advice
