Celebrating excellence across the industry, the UKIFDA Awards recognise the individuals and organisations driving progress, professionalism and pride in the UK and Ireland’s liquid fuels sector.
Commenting on the 2026 Awards, Ken Cronin, CEO of UKIFDA, said: “We know that great work happens at every level of this industry, often quietly and without fanfare. The UKIFDA Awards are designed to recognise exactly that – real achievements, real improvements and real dedication. This year’s awards programme features six distinct categories, each focusing on a different area of excellence from outstanding safety and service to innovation, sustainability and emerging talent.
Driver of the Year Award, sponsored by OAMPS Hazardous Industries
Celebrating the exceptional tanker drivers who keep our industry moving, this award recognises those who excel in safety, delivery standards and customer service. It also highlights those who act as ambassadors for their company, supporting colleagues, demonstrating professionalism, and consistently going above and beyond.
Innovation Award, sponsored by Fuel Oil News
Honouring companies that bring new ideas to life, this award uncovers practical innovation with measurable benefits. From digital tools and process improvements to equipment upgrades, safety enhancements or a creative solution to an everyday challenge. The award recognises that innovation doesn’t have to be large-scale or expensive; it simply needs to make a positive difference.
Green Award, sponsored by Oilshield
Celebrating sustainability progress across the sector, the Green Award recognises companies making real, practical steps towards a lower-carbon future. Whether through renewable fuel adoption, operational efficiencies, smarter processes, waste reduction or environmental protection initiatives. Achievements may vary in scale, but the focus is on genuine progress and commitment.
Young Person of the Year Award, sponsored by Just Tankers
This award highlights the exceptional emerging talent helping to shape the industry’s future. Open to employees aged 25 and under, it recognises young professionals who bring enthusiasm, fresh thinking and commitment to their roles, whether through day-to-day reliability, innovative ideas, customer care or a clear desire to develop and grow within the sector.
Customer Service Award 2026, sponsored by Worldpay
Recognising individuals who deliver outstanding customer care to customers across domestic, commercial and agricultural sectors, this award celebrates those who consistently demonstrate professionalism, empathy and initiative. From supporting vulnerable customers to providing reassurance during busy periods or challenging conditions, it honours the people who help maintain trust in the industry.
Finally, the prestigious UKIFDA Depot of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Pen Underwriting. In this instance, UKIFDA’s Technical Manager will select the winner after reviewing and inspecting the membership’s depots.
