The search for the liquid fuel distribution industry’s emerging talent has opened. Trade body and event organiser UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) has officially opened entries for its Young Person of the Year 2024 Award, sponsored by Just Tankers.
A popular addition to the annual UKIFDA EXPO awards, the Young Person of the Year 2024 award highlights the contribution that young people make to this evolving sector.
Nominations for Young Person of the Year can be submitted by UKIFDA Member companies regardless of size or scale from anywhere in the UK and Ireland.
Explaining what the assessment team is looking for, UKIFDA CEO Ken Cronin said: “We want to hear about the exceptional young people in your organisation – the ones that bring new ideas and ways of working to your organisation, those who consistently support their co-workers or have gone above and beyond for a customer. It’s vital to continue to attract the next generation into the industry, and celebrating emerging talent is one way to do this. Who would you nominate for this award?”
Nominations must be submitted by 7 March 2024. Shortlists will be revealed in the New Year, and the award ceremony will form part of the UKIFDA Expo Dinner, sponsored by Mabanaft. This takes place on the evening of 10 April 2024 at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre and will round off the first day of the UKIFDA EXPO & Conference 2024.
