Driver and Training Services

One of UKIFDA’s primary roles is to promote self-regulation within our industry by enhancing standards and adopting best practices.

UKIFDA is a member of the National Dangerous Goods Training Consortium and operates as an approved training centre dedicated to raising industry standards through comprehensive training services.

We offer a range of training options to ensure members meet regulatory requirements, including CPC and ADR, as well as voluntary codes like PDP. Additionally, we provide practical driver training sessions, Depot Manager training and ADR awareness courses.

We also deliver specialised courses tailored to our members’ unique needs. Many of these courses can be conducted through the UKIFDA Training Academy.

Driver Training Resource

Our ADR, CPC and PDP courses have been streamlined so that an ADR refresher course will, in most cases, also qualify a driver for their CPC and PDP training for that year.

Most UKIFDA CPC courses also include a driver’s PDP annual refresher requirement for that training year, saving our members time and money. PDP practical training can be provided directly, and we can assess up to four drivers in a day, or member companies may register their own driver assessors either directly with SQA or via UKIFDA.

The UKIFDA Training Academy

The UKIFDA Academy delivers training courses through a combination of a user-friendly software platform and on-site training courses. Members can manage, track, and book training courses through the platform, and notifications are provided regarding renewal dates and certificate status.

Range of Courses

We also provide various industry training, including Management CPC courses, First Aid training, EDI, Workplace Harassment Awareness, ADR Awareness, Depot Manager and Depot Supervisor courses, and Permit to Work.

Our range of courses also encompasses personnel development training courses such as Time Management, Understanding Group Dynamics, and The 5 P’s of Effective Meetings.

Additionally, we can develop bespoke training courses tailored to our members’ specific needs.
