The Code of Practice and Consumer Charter provide clear guidelines for the customer complaints process and outline the UKIFDA Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme for consumers who are unable to resolve their complaints directly with the company from which they made their purchase.
As a corporate member of UtilitiesADR, UKIFDA ensures that all distributor members are automatically enrolled in this ADR scheme.
The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service is provided by Consumer Disputes Resolution Ltd, an independent not-for-profit organisation specialising in resolving disputes between consumers and retailers.
UKIFDA distributor members also have access to free legal advice from the team of solicitors and barristers at Consumer Dispute Resolution Ltd.
