Annual Off Grid Energy Industry Event UKIFDA EXPO 2020 Returning To Liverpool In June With Aon PLC Announced As Headline Sponsor

30th January 2020

UKIFDA is pleased to announce Aon plc as the headline sponsor for UKIFDA EXPO 2020 which is returning to the Liverpool Exhibition Centre on 10th and 11th June 2020.

Paul Martin Commercial Director for Aon Credit Solutions commented: “We are delighted for the opportunity to become headline sponsor for UKIFDA EXPO 2020.  We see great value in the EXPO, testament to the fact we have been Exhibitors (as Acumen & Henderson) for over 20 years now.  Now being part of Aon, we are keen to ensure UKIFDA members are sure of our continued commitment to providing insurance solutions to this ever-changing sector.”

UKIFDA CEO Guy Pulham comments: “We were delighted that Aon wanted to be headline sponsor for UKIFDA EXPO 2020. We have worked closely with Aon (as Henderson Insurance Brokers and Acumen) over the past few years and are thrilled to have them on board as we move into a new era of the liquid fuels industry. A great deal of excitement and anticipation is already building as the exhibition celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2020 and we look forward to working with our headline sponsors, Aon to make the show another great success.

“This year’s exhibition will importantly reflect the changing arena of the liquid fuels industry. At the start of  2020 UKIFDA has joined forces with fellow liquid fuels trade associations OFTEC and The Tank Storage Association (TSA) to launch a future vision for liquid fuels ‘Supply Chain Strategy for Liquid Fuels’ which details the steps to be taken toward a transition to a supply chain capable of delivering 100% biofuel to replace heating oil in 1.5m homes across the UK and 686,000 homes across Ireland.

“It’s only right that on its 40th anniversary, UKIFDA EXPO 2020 will combine all the successful elements from previous exhibitions with some first time exhibitors and keynote speakers designed to showcase the industry’s hard work with regard to meeting carbon emission targets through the introduction of biofuels.

“Our keynote speakers will be announced soon but promise to provide insight and interest to the exhibition.

“Covering 8,100sqm of floor space the expected 120+ exhibitors at UKIFDA EXPO attract a worldwide audience of several thousand and has something to offer everyone from owners of fuel distributors, to depot managers, HR, IT, Finance and Marketing personnel.”

Dawn Shakespeare, Membership and Events Manager for UKIFDA, and organiser of the exhibition, adds: “We are all so excited about this year’s event and look forward to celebrating its 40th anniversary during the two days.

“We already have exhibitors booked in that operate across the manufacturing, distribution, supply, and technology sectors of the industry in the UK and across Europe. Many have been exhibiting at UKIFDA EXPO for decades and it’s always lovely to have them return each year, while some are new to EXPO this year and it’s equally lovely to welcome them to the event for the first time.

“New exhibitors include Abloy Ltd, Nursan Trailers, Pearl Site Services, Magnus Monitors/Eirscope Ltd, and Home Fuels Direct. Alongside established and first-time exhibitors are tanker manufacturers Cobo Tankers And Services Ltd, Magyar UK, and Williams Tanker Services.

“This year’s exhibition has so much on offer for exhibitors and visitors alike. From providing the opportunity for customers to discover more on the work the industry is undertaking with biofuels and finding solutions to enable the off-grid energy sector to meet decarbonisation targets – through to keynote speakers (soon to be revealed) and seminars on important topics for the industry.”
