All members of UKIFDA adhere to a Code of Practice and consumer charter. Both the code of practice and consumer charter give clear guidelines on a customer complaints process and details of the UKIFDA ADR scheme should a consumer be unable to resolve their complaint directly with the company they have purchased from. In 2016, UKIFDA became a corporate member of UtilitiesADR. As a consequence, all members of UKIFDA are automatically now members of UtilitiesADR.
The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service is offered through Consumer Disputes Resolution Ltd, an independent not-for-profit organisation that specialises in resolving disputes between consumers and retailers.
As a UKIFDA Member, you also have access to free legal advice from the Consumer Dispute Resolution Limited’s team of solicitors and barristers.
