Entries for the 2024 Green Award, sponsored by Oilshield, are now open. This award recognises sustainability in the liquid fuel industry and provides businesses with the opportunity to promote their environmental programmes, products and services.
The UKIFDA assessment team is looking for businesses and/or organisations that are committed to achieving a decarbonised future and can demonstrate environmental performance results.
UKIFDA CEO Ken Cronin is keen to encourage businesses large and small to enter: “There’s so much happening in terms of investment in sustainability across the sector, we’re keen to uncover the success stories.
“Your submission could include innovative technologies for reducing carbon emissions, product development relating to alternative fuels or additives, risk management policies to prevent spills, waste reduction initiatives, or support for environmental charities. There are various ways to contribute to sustainability, including pilot schemes, next phase steps on your sustainability journey, or ideas that we have never heard of before.
“To recognise the wider industry, we welcome entries from both UKIFDA members and non-members. To be eligible for nomination, a non-member must be nominated by a UKIFDA member.”
Nominations must be submitted by 7 March 2024. Shortlists will be revealed in the New Year, and the award ceremony will form part of the UKIFDA Expo Dinner, sponsored by Mabanaft. This takes place on the evening of 10 April 2024 at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre and will round off the first day of the UKIFDA EXPO & Conference 2024.
