Sharing leadership insight and tales of intrepid journeys into some of the world’s remotest locations, the highly acclaimed adventurer, marine biologist and TV presenter, Monty Halls has been announced as the guest speaker at the UKIFDA EXPO 2024 Awards event.
The ceremony, which takes place on 10 April 2024 at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, will round off day one of the UKIFDA EXPO & Conference 2024.
Best known for his three hugely popular BBC series ‘Great Escapes’, Monty is an ex-Royal Marines Officer who worked for Nelson Mandela during the peace process and since has pursued a career in expeditions, travel journalism and biology.
Having started his own production company, Monty has produced and presented three series for Channel Four, written twelve books, and is a regular contributor to leading magazines and newspapers – a man who is always moving forward.
Commenting on this special guest speaker, UKIFDA Chief Executive Ken Cronin said: “The fearless leadership this man demonstrates is fascinating, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him to celebrate our own industry’s pioneers and hear more about his captivating adventures. No doubt, there will be some insightful takeaways to encourage us all to push boundaries and experiment, individually in our everyday lives, as businesses and at industry level too.
“The awards categories are currently being launched so please do get your entries in – we would like to encourage businesses large and smaller to join in. We’ve made the process as simple and straightforward as possible, so if you’ve got something or someone to shout about, we want to hear from you!”
