One to watch for those looking to stay ahead, trade body and event organiser for the liquid fuels industry, UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) has opened entries for its Innovation Award 2024, which recognises businesses introducing new ideas, technologies and ways of working. This year, once again, the award is sponsored by Fuel Oil News.
Innovation in liquid fuel distribution is what drives the sector forward and UKIFDA is looking for the next industry innovator, as UKIFDA CEO Ken Cronin explains: “We’re taking a view from several angles. Overall, we want to uncover those companies making a positive difference within the sector. Taking it down to a more granular level, the winning business may have created or introduced an innovative product, service or new technology, adopted or introduced an alternative business model or created a pioneering partnership relevant to liquid fuel distribution.
“To recognise the wider industry, we welcome entries from both UKIFDA members and non-members. To be eligible for nomination, a non-member must be nominated by a UKIFDA member.”
Nominations must be submitted by 7 March 2024. Shortlists will be revealed in the New Year, and the award ceremony will form part of the UKIFDA Expo Dinner, sponsored by Mabanaft. This takes place on the evening of 10 April 2024 at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre and will round off the first day of the UKIFDA EXPO & Conference 2024.
