UKIFDA SHOW 2025: Inspiring Industry Change

The UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) is preparing for this year’s premier industry event, the UKIFDA SHOW 2025, which takes place on May 14, 2025, at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The theme, “Be Part of the Solution,” highlights the event’s commitment to shaping the future of the fuel distribution industry.

This one-day event promises to deliver valuable insights and opportunities for attendees.

Participants can expect a vibrant exhibition space featuring a range of leading industry companies. The exhibition will provide a platform for the latest advancements in technology, data-driven software solutions, innovative fuel and tanker options, and state-of-the-art equipment from the evolving supply chain.

Ken Cronin, CEO of UKIFDA – The Fuel Distribution Association – stated: “Always innovative in our approach to planning the event, we’re introducing new features in 2025 to enhance the format further. This year’s conference element will focus on conversation rather than formal presentations. We’ve named this section ‘Speakers’ Corner,’ inspired by the original Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park, the world’s oldest platform for free speech.”

The comprehensive agenda includes a stimulating debate on the future of liquid fuels, featuring voices from across our nations, including representatives from Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Notable sessions will cover the impact of high-profile figures like Donald Trump on market dynamics and the role of tax and regulation within the industry.

A first for UKIFDA will be a live podcast hosted by Alex Wolfe from the Wolfe Power Club, interviewing the past four winners of the prestigious UKIFDA Young Person of the Year Award.

Ken Cronin comments on the upcoming live podcast: “Our past Young Person of the Year award recipients are still thriving in the industry. We’ve invited them back so they can share their success stories to inspire others. Alex will explore questions such as: What made them enter our industry? What motivates them to stay? What advice do they have for others, especially for employers and UKIFDA?”

The UKIFDA SHOW, sponsored by Phillips 66,  will also celebrate excellence in the industry with the popular annual UKIFDA awards, presented throughout the day and evening. These awards will recognise outstanding contributions in the sector.
